To me, this is an important aspect of the failing of our healthcare system. If we had universal, free healthcare, people would be able to develop trusting relationships with their family doctors. So few people have normal, healthy relationships with a doctor that knows and cares for them, because they cannot afford it or don't see the value. Many young people feel like they are healthy, and don't need a general practitioner. But this relationship is so important. To be able to have these conversations about our health concerns with someone we deeply trust would make a big difference in folks willingness to take the vaccine. I believe a lot of this hesitancy comes from a lack of relationship with a trusted healthcare provider.
